There are men, women, and teams events, how is the prizemoney split up??

There are 4 different events.

PGA professional can win money in three of those events – PGA individual event, the Team Nett event and the Team Scratch event

LPGA professionals can win money in three of those events – LPGA individual event, the Team Nett event and the Team Scratch event

 

 

So are the girls and guys competing against each other for the Team Nett and Team Scratch prizemoney??

Absolutely

 

 

How much is the prizemoney for each event?

The PGA Individual purse is worth $80,000 for the 54-hole event, plus a $5,000 sweepstakes each day 

The LPGA Individual purse is worth $10,000 (based upon 5-10 LPGA professionals competing), plus 3 x $1,500 sweepstakes each day

The Team Nett event is worth $20,000

The Team Scratch event is worth $7,500

  

 

Does the prizemoney split follow PGA guidelines?

Yes 

We follow the guideline PGA percentages guidelines for individual prizemoney

Just remember that the event is unique.

Professionals play for money in three separate events.

There is in reality no cut (just a seeded draw).

 

 

So what about the girls?

The girls (LPGA professionals), if in a team, play for the same prizemoney in the Team Nett and Team Scratch as the boys. The Team Nett event is worth $20,000 and the Team Scratch event is worth $7,500

The LPGA Individual purse is $10,000 (based upon 5-10 LPGA professionals competing), plus a $1,500 sweepsatke each day.

 

 

Can I see what the exact breakdown of prizemoney is for each event?

We will provide that during the tournament, and it will be posted on the website as well.

Can I still enter??

Yes. The 2011 tournament entry form will be available October 2011. Remember we sell out the events two months prior to hit off.

Can I enter as a single player?

Absolutely for 2011. We will endevour to slot you into a team.

If I bring a team do we play together for all 3 days?

Yes, you and your team-mates will play with your professional for the entire tournament

What if I can't play all three days?

No problem, you can nominate a reserve/substitute player, but it must be done in advance if you are to remain in contention for the major trophies.

How much does it cost to play?

An amateur individual player's entry is to be confirmed and the professional is $125 plus PGA entry fee.

Who will be my professional if I don't have one?

An excellent PGA Tour professional will be alloctated to your team

Do I have a choice of professional?

As much as possible we try an help with your requests

Do I have to have a handicap?

Yes. You must have a Club or AGU/ALGU handicap (Maximum of 24 for men and 36 for ladies) The handicap must have been valid for 9 months prior to the start of the tournament.

Do we play of the championship tees or the members tees?

Similar to 2010 the tees for all players will be moved forward on select holes at various courses to help improve the speed of play.
